Bronze Award
The client requested a three bedroom home which included an office. It also had to have good indoor/outdoor flow. To enable the building contract to meet the tight budget, the design had to be of compact layout, hence the 3.5m long hallway. This house gives the impression of a much higher value home by maximising a few small features and having an eye for the details. These details include the entrance into the living area from the hallway. A partition wall between the entry and the living area visually extends the sense of the hallway, while the 'windows' within it invite you through into the living space. This feature wall has been painted in a rich contrasting plum, adding to the dynamic of the area. Dramatic use of colour continues throughout the home with both paint and flooring in a deep blue which is contrasted with clean white, giving the home a breezy Mediterranean ambience. The kitchen is an integral part of the open plan living space, being demarcated by crisp white flooring and joinery. Contact Us and discuss your new home requirements |
