Silver Award
The client made a specific requests to have a bedroom next to the kitchen, a computer recess off the living area, a sunroom in which to relax and enjoy the Nelson sun and for the ensuite to be wheel-chair friendly. The client wanted to be able to shut off the balance of the house, which was designed for when family came to visit from overseas. This home features simple open plan living areas for ease of maintenance. The interior colour scheme is simple and neutral, yet inviting. For the exterior claddings a plaster render over brick was used at the client's request. The wooden shutter detailing in the apex of the eaves highlights and reflects the wood of the main entry door and the garage. This is an awesome house, built for the needs of the elderly in mind, but still having ample space to enable for visitors to stay. This home will also have the space and features that will make it attractive to a variety of buyers should it be put on the market.
